ABOUT OUR OWNERS
QUALITY FIRST GENERAL CONTRACTING INC. IS PROUD TO BE A FEMALE OWNED
MINORITY BUSINESS WHO EMPLOYEES A TEAM OF EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS
RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR INTEGRITY IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY WITH DECADES OF
COMBINED EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION.

Kimberly A. Turner, our President and majority shareholder, possesses a scrupulous business mind with great attention to detail. For 31 years she has served the needs of those under her care as a medical professional. In her nursing career, Kim has served as a hospital Case Manager, a Home Health Nurse Case Manager, as well as a Surgical and Emergency Department Nurse. Kim is a native of New England and a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in nursing with a concentration in business administration. Kim is an early high school graduate who between her high school graduation and her first year of college worked as a construction clerk for Chalet Susse International, a New England based hotel chain which consisted of staff architects and designers who built and renovated hotels in New England and the Mid Atlantic States. In the 1980s, the U.S. Department of Defense experimented with public and private partnerships to make up for lower military construction funds. Chalet Susse was contracted by the DoD for the development of the Navy's Bachelor Office Quarters in New London, Connecticut.

Details are important to Kim, and as President of Quality First General Contracting Inc., she insists that every detail is given the attention it deserves. As president, she encourages her team to exceed industry standards in every phase of construction, knowing our work is a reflection of who we are as individuals. As such, we feel confident in saying the quality of our work product is second to none and exceeds much of what is currently in the marketplace today. Kim understands that passing inspections and meeting Code requirements is only the minimum standard of construction. Quality First seeks to exceed these minimum standards of construction and provide quality which is intended to last for many years to come. Profitability and sustainability as a company is imperative, but we do not achieve this at the expense of quality and workmanship. We consider the quality of our work product to be the best advertisement available. We do not claim to be the least expensive General Contractor in the marketplace. Clients can find other builders who will build and sell homes more cheaply than Quality First General Contracting, but those builders know the value of their workmanship better than we do. Quality First General Contracting will continue to provide the highest quality in the market at a reasonable price, but we refuse to cut corners in order to compete with cheap and subpar building practices.

Glenn Turner, Quality First General Contracting's Vice President, is a native of eastern NC, and spent his childhood and teenage years working in eastern NC tobacco and hay fields, working on his family's hog farm, as well as on construction sites with his father and uncles. Surrounded by family members in the construction industry, Glenn developed an affection for the process of taking raw materials and fashioning them into cherished places families could call home and safely raise their families. Glenn attributes his affection for building to his father, who often brought Glenn to work with him when his father was responsible for managing construction of numerous single-family dwellings, apartment complexes, childcare facilities, nursing homes for handicapped children and the remodeling of hospitals into nursing home facilities. One could say that construction is in Glenn's blood, and to him it is second nature due to his father's influence.

After acceptance into law school, Glenn turned his attention full time to the construction industry. Desiring to better know his trade, he began to study applicable laws and codes which govern the construction industry. Glenn then became a NC Code Enforcement Official and was responsible for NC Code enforcement, which is regulated by the NC Department of Insurance, Office of the State Fire Marshall. Having this knowledge as well as the trade knowledge gained through the years with hands on experience by his father's side, Glenn believes Quality First General Contracting Inc. is positioned to provide excellent client service, quality that is second to none, and relationships with professionals in the industry which can provide each client with the detail and professionalism the client deserves. Glenn has a broad range of experience in the construction industry and has a varied and diverse role within the company. His role involves that of business procurement, quality control manager, client liaison, and construction manager.

"Not a day goes by that I'm not doing something which relates to a memory of working with Daddy.
For me, building a home is more than an attempt to turn a profit, it's personal and each detail matters.
We are not simply building a home or structure; we are building a reputation."
- Glenn Turner

NEW CONSTRUCTION
Quality First offers a Design-Build Process for those individuals who are not yet sure of their needs. This is a two-phase process.
Phase 1 is a contractual phase and begins after an initial meeting to discuss needs. After the initial meeting, Phase 1 begins with our Client Services Contract. During this phase, the Quality First Design team works for you by the hour to get you the design you desire. Upon the acceptance and completion of the Phase 1 Client Services' design, the design process is completed and the Phase 1 contract is fulfilled.
Phase 2 of the Design/Build process begins when the design is agreed upon, completed and the final draft of plans are submitted to and accepted by the Client. At this point we discuss going under contract to begin construction. Feel free to reach out to us to discover how we may be of assistance with your new home.
